RenewableUK Cymru represents the renewable energy industry in Wales. It operates as the Welsh arm of RenewableUK, the UK’s largest renewable energy trade association, and acts as a dedicated voice for organisations shaping the country’s low-carbon energy future.
The organisation supports around 50 members with interests in the Welsh renewables market, including developers, investors, and supply-chain partners. Together, these members are helping to build a cleaner electricity system that delivers economic investment, skilled employment, social value, environmental gains, and meaningful reductions in carbon emissions. Who are the members?
Membership spans large international energy companies through to emerging small businesses supplying specialist services and technologies. Areas of focus include offshore wind (fixed and floating), onshore wind, green hydrogen, tidal energy, solar power, energy storage, port and infrastructure development, and wider supply-chain activity.
How do they generate income?
Income is derived from membership fees and events. RenewableUK Cymru is a not-for-profit organisation, meaning any surplus funds are reinvested into supporting members and strengthening the renewable energy sector across Wales.
