EnergyCosts.co.uk provides information about business energy products, prices, suppliers, brokers and related services.

The services available through the website may include:

  • meter numbers or supply identifiers;
  • energy consumption data;
  • contract start and end dates;
  • copies of energy bills;

  • details of your role or authority within the business; and
  • any other information reasonably required to obtain quotations.

You are responsible for checking the accuracy of information before submitting it.

Incorrect or incomplete information may result in inaccurate quotations, rejected applications, delays, amended prices or the cancellation of an offer.

You must notify the relevant broker or supplier promptly if information changes or you discover that information previously supplied was inaccurate.

8. Introductions to third parties

When you submit a quote request or enquiry, we may introduce you to one or more:

  • energy suppliers;
  • energy brokers;
  • comparison service providers;
  • sales or customer service partners;
  • energy consultants; or
  • other relevant service providers.

An introduction does not mean that we endorse, guarantee or accept responsibility for that third party or its services.

9. Energy contracts

10. No authority to enter contracts

  • terminate your existing energy contract;
  • provide notice to your current supplier;
  • guarantee that a switch will complete;
  • guarantee that a supplier will accept your application; or

Submitting an enquiry through the website does not, by itself, create an energy supply contract.

Subject to the liabilities that cannot legally be excluded, our total aggregate liability arising out of or connected with your use of the website or services will not exceed £1,000.

These limitations apply whether the claim arises in contract, tort, negligence, misrepresentation, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.

34. Governing law and jurisdiction

Where you use the website in the course of a business, the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

Where you are legally treated as a consumer, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the part of the United Kingdom in which you live, and your statutory rights will not be affected.
